2011 approaches and many projects lag behind. Hoping that the new year will bring a better turn around in new models. The new grain wagon tooling will hopefully start taking shape and showing samples around Easter. This will be followed by the passenger coaches.
Pad printing will be the way forward and Passenger coaches with a professional pad printed livery will hopefully retail around the ZAR 200 mark. So the wait will be worth while.
All the best for the 2011.

Cape Town news
Between all the world cup madness, I visited Model Railroad Specialists in Plumstead. Many SAR modellers happened to be there, so had a good chat with many of them. Mike also took delivery of stock, including some Safmarine and CX containers, DZ-7 kits and many etched detail parts.
Said goodbye to Mike Trow and headed to the RMIG meeting in the afternoon. Was a good turnout and again had the chance to chat with many modellers. The modules of Bot River station were being worked on. The plan is to have them running for the general public at the Cape Town convention next year. Look forward to seeing the modules next year.

FZJ-7
As announced at the Gauteng convention. The FZJ-7 / FZJ-8 / FZJ-9 is commencing well and have done a lot of work in the past month on this project and also on the passenger coaches. The grain wagon is going to be a very impressive model and hopefully the best one yet. Lots of new features and designs have been incorporated. The grain wagon will also come in the various versions. Both the Dual brake hanger system and the single bent hanger have been included in the tooling design.
Will keep the news coming on both the grain and the new plastic passenger coaches.

Some news
Still busy on a million things.
As announced at the Gauteng convention last year. The FZJ-7/FZJ-8/FZJ-9 is progressing. This is going to be a very nice grain model in plastic. Busy sorting out the fine details at the moment.
Passenger coaches. This project is moving forward very nicely. The models will contain many plastic injection parts, thus giving very high levels of detail. Many variations will be offered from 1st class to 3rd class, dining and kitchen cars and many more.
Prices will be very attractive. Especially the Hobby Line version.
Included is a graphic, the colours are a bit off, when I get a chance, will play around with it!
